What is Finding Om?
Who can join Finding Om?
Finding Om is right for anyone with an open mind, an interest in yoga and a sincere desire to
change in a positive life-affirming way. The ultimate goal of Finding Om is to give participants
skills they can take with them and build upon to continue making gains indefinitely.

Men and women of a variety of ages have shown significant benefit from participation in this
unique program. Groups are being developed for people both with and without eating disorders.
The next group, which is scheduled to begin November 2, 2008, will be open to all.

Who runs Finding Om?
Finding Om was developed by Debby Patz Clarke, MA. Following the success of its clinically
proven trial, the program is being expanded to serve a wide range of people, including of course
those with Binge Eating Disorder.

Yoga classes, which run for an hour, are taught by a certified yoga teacher. They are fairly
vigorous and generally conducted in a flowing Vinyasa style.

The discussion group, which runs for 35 minutes immediately following the yoga class, is led by
Debby. Debby is a masters level psychotherapist and is completing her doctorate at the
Colorado School of Professional Psychology, a school of The University of the Rockies.

Finding Om is a program which addresses emotional eating, body image, dealing with
stress without harming yourself and much more through a combination of yoga and a
discussion group which follows class.

Many of us use food to cope with stress, overeating as a "reward" for having dealt with
something or someone difficult. Other times we use food to numb ourselves to
situations we would rather not deal with. Finding Om specifically addresses the
phenomenon of emotional eating and the feelings of shame, guilt and self-hatred that
many people feel as a result.

Finding Om has been clinically-proven to raise self-esteem, improve body image, lower
anxiety and reduce binge episodes in people suffering from Binge Eating Disorder.
This mind/body intervention, which has been featured on KRDO radio, is an
evidence-based complementary and alternative approach to self-healing and
self-improvment. Versions of Finding Om to treat other eating and body image-related
issues are now being offered for men and women both with and without eating
disorders.

How much does Finding Om cost?
Finding Om is a one-hour yoga group class taught by a registered yoga teacher followed by a 35
minute discussion led by a masters level psychotherapist. As such, it costs more than a yoga
class alone but considerably less than yoga and sessions with a therapist would on their own!

Programs meet weekly and run between 6 and 10 weeks. The next session, which will run for 6
weeks beginning on November 2, will cost $199. Register by October 15 for $175.

PLEASE do not let cost be the only thing holding you back from participation in this wonderful
program. If you are concerned that this may be an issue do not hesitate to ask.
