About Debby


Deborah Patz Clarke, PsyD, RYT is a licensed psychologist in the State of Colorado. She got her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Rockies in October, 2009, her masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Colorado School of Professional Psychology in 2007 and her Bachelors degree in 1988 from Harvard College. She trained as a yoga teacher at an intensive training with Baron Baptiste and completed 200 hour certification at CorePower Yoga in Colorado Springs. She is level 1 trained in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Her professional memberships include the American Psychological Association and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT); she is also a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance.

In therapy, you can expect Debby to be honest, compassionate and straightforward.

Debby presented the findings of her research in yoga therapy at the IAYT's Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research in 2009 and at the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association's annual convention in 2010. Her work was featured in the November 2009 issue of Redbook Magazine, the February 2010 issue of Prevention Magazine, on KRDO radio and in the September 30, 2010 Colorado Springs Gazette.

On a personal note, Debby has been practicing yoga since 1991. She teaches primarily in a flowing vinyasa style but incorporates elements of Anusara, Ashtanga, Hot Yoga, Iyengar and Kundalini. She has completed 18 marathons, two ultramarathons and a half Ironman distance duathlon. Debby rode ridden my bicycle across the United States and guided disabled runners in marathon and half marathon distance races. She is also a proud wife and the mother of two beautiful girls.
